Austin Restaurant Weeks, 8/29-9/14

A two-week long dining event that goes toward a good cause. Enjoy discounted prix fixe meals and cocktails from favorites Casa Bianca, Barley Swine, Sawyer & Co., Dai Due and dozens more. The fixed price meal options include a $25 lunch or brunch, and a $50 or $75 dinner. Plus, the event is for a good cause as a portion of the price of each meal goes directly to the Central Texas Food Bank.

Lone Star Le Mans, 9/5-9/7

The only North American race in the official World Endurance Championship season, Lone Star Le Mans is a weekend of thrilling endurance racing. The race takes place at Circuit Americas and also includes line dancing, live music, carnival games, and more.

Bat Fest, 9/6

The annual Bat Fest is a celebration of the 1.5 million Mexican free-tailed bats that call Austin home and live beneath Congress Ave. Bridge. The 19th annual festival includes local food vendors, family-friendly activities, and live music from Silversun Pickups, Waka Flocka Flame, RiFF RAFF, and more.

UT Football games , 9/6

The UT Longhorns’ football home game season kicks off Saturday, September 6th against San Jose State. There are two more home games at Darrell K Royal Texas Memorial Stadium  in September: September 13th against UTEP and September 20th against Sam Houston.

My Favorite Murder Live, 9/10-9/11

The hosts of the popular true crime podcast, My Favorite Murder, Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark are bringing their live tour to Austin’s Bass Concert Hall. My Favorite Murder Live is a chance to hear live storytelling about infamous serial killers, cold cases, cults, survivor stories and important events from history. 

Pecan Street Festival, 9/13-9/14

The 50th annual Pecan Street Festival is back for its fall event, taking place at Hill Country Galleria. The festival is one of the largest and longest-running arts and music festivals in the nation and comprises local vendors and artists, good food, fun activities, and live music. Local band THEBROSFRESH, who are some of the coolest guys in town (and friends of the Heywood), will be performing on Saturday!

Fantastic Fest, 9-18-9/25

Presented by Austin’s own Alamo Drafthouse, Fantastic Fest is the largest genre film festival in the US. Film enthusiasts can enjoy eight days of film premieres and events related to the horror, fantasy, sci-fi, and action genres.

Austin Museum Day, 9/21

Austin Museum Day is an opportunity to enjoy free admission to more than 30 Austin area museums, including Blanton Museum of Art, The Contemporary Austin, LBJ Presidential Library, Mexic-Arte Museum, UMLAUF Sculpture Garden, Women & Their Work, and more.

Levitation Festival, 9/25-9/28

Enjoy three days of music across two stages at Palmer Events Center and various music venues in downtown Austin. Levitation highlights top acts in psychedelic rock and also features punk, metal, electronica and more. This year’s headliners include Mastadon, Pavement, TV on the Radio, Built to Spill, Blonde Redhead, The Black Angels and more.

Austin Mediterranean Festival, 9/26-9/28

Established in 1934 as a small bake sale, Austin Mediterranean Festival has evolved into a full celebration of Mediterranean cultures and cuisines. Enjoy performances and food representing countries including Greece, Lebanon, Palestine, Ukraine, Eritrea, and more.
